The museum
Our history, up close.
A place where a shirt becomes a story again. And that story is passed on to a new generation.
A museum brought to life by people.
The proposed museum is dedicated to Catania: shirts, pennants, historic crests, photographs and personal accounts that tell the story of the team and the community of Catania supporters. The project brings preservation and sharing together, through an exhibition to be developed with the people of Catania and everyone who holds a piece of its history.
01Objects with stories to tell
Shirts, trophies, photographs, documents and items from matches: each item can bring an era, an achievement or a person back into focus. The experience we envisage connects these objects with the voices of those who know their stories.
02Catania, on and off the pitch.
The teams, the players, the matches and the stands. We want to tell Catania’s story through the objects and voices of those who lived it: a shared memory that connects the pitch, the stadium and the lives of supporters.
03Families and schools
Visits, conversations and educational activities are central to the museum project. We aim to create an experience through which children and young people can discover their local heritage through sport, its people and its values.
04Keeping our history within reach
Our vision includes a digital archive alongside the exhibition spaces. Documents and personal accounts could then reach people from Catania living far from the city, as well as anyone wishing to explore a story in greater depth.
